Well, I think it's about time to blow the dust off of this blog and put it back into action! At least I hope to do that!
After a long hiatus I decided to participate in the most recent Rubbermoon Moonmail ATC swap. If you're not familiar with Rubbermoon you should definitely check them out here. And if you're not familiar with the Moonmail club you should check it out here! Tons of fun every month! Kristen recently began offering Claudia Rose rubber stamps! For those who have been around rubber stamping for a while you'll remember all of those super cute little images that Claudia Rose was known for! Well now you can order them from Rubbermoon!
For September we received this fantastic Claudia Rose rubber stamp in our Moonmail package along with several other goodies! You really should consider joining the Moonmail club! I love getting my package every month!
I received this lovely ATC from the very talented and funny Lydia! She gets some serious props for fussy-cutting that moon sliver! She also sent the cute little mini envelope filled with die cut leopard-patterned wings! Lydia keeps us all in stitches in the special Facebook group for members of the MoonMail club!
The ATC below, which I created using Claudia's stamp, went to Carissa. The cute little car and the sentiment are also Rubbermoon images from the very talented Barb Rogers.
I also sent Carissa some Day of the Dead faux postage made with Kristen's new Milagros stamp collection however I neglected to take a photo of those before I put them in the envelope!
Kristen isn't just the owner of Rubbermoon she's also one of the very talented artists who create Rubbermoon rubber stamp images! I think I've ordered almost the entire Milagros collection. I hope to have a good play day with them in the near future! So if you haven't already done so head on over to Rubbermoon to see what it's all about. While you're there take a look at the Rubbemoon blog too!

MoonMail has landed!
I've previously shared the RubberMoon MoonMail ATC swap cards here so I thought I'd share with you this month's MoonMail package that I received in the mail from RubberMoon Art Stamps. The RubberMoon MoonMail Club is monthly subscription club where you'll receive an exclusive rubber stamp designed by Kristen Powers, the owner of RubberMoon, along with other random goodies that Kristen includes in the package. The stamp club also includes access to an exclusive Facebook group, exclusive club videos and we also now have a club blog!
This is the fifth month of my MoonMail Club subscription and I can tell you that I have never been disappointed! If anything I'm more excited each month to see what that envelope will contain! And if you participate in the monthly ATC swap then you'll get to receive another surprise envelope with an original ATC from a secret swap partner!
So let me share with you the package that I received this month...
Here you can see the contents of the package! Kristen always includes such a sweet note! This month we received some really cool extras!
Kristen has teamed up with Gina Hubbard of Gina's Designs to create some unique and fun products that Kristen will soon be carrying in the RubberMoon store. So included in our package was one of Gina's really cool laser cut chipboard art dolls! The chipboard is super firm so it will stand up to whatever paint or ink I can pile on it! I can't wait to see what I can create with this art doll! And I'm really looking forward to seeing the great designs that I know will come out of their collaboration!
Also included in our package were these one inch squares from Lisa Lee of Inchie Arts. Inchie Arts produces precision cut art squares for small art! These art squares are cut from pristine white mat board and are the perfect surface for your favorite medium. You can stamp them, watercolor them, Zentangle them and whatever else you can think of! Lisa is a genius at creating inchie squares! Make sure you visit their blog, All In an Inch, and their Facebook page where Lisa shares all of her art! I can tell these little squares are going to be seriously addictive!! I'll be sharing in a future blog post what I make with these little beauties!
And last, but not least, the stamp of the month! This month's stamp is an awesome and versatile pair of wings! You have the option of choosing wood mount or cling mount. A wood mount subscription is $15 a month and a cling mount subscription is $10 a month. That price includes shipping! I took this photo at an angle so that you can see the thick cushion underneath the stamp and also how precisely it is trimmed! The cling mount stamp is sent on a glossy card that you can use for storing the stamp on.
But there's one other perk that tops everything you've seen so far and that's being part of a group of some of the most wonderful and talented ladies that I've ever known! They crack me up daily with their Facebook repartee and they amaze me with their talent and generosity in our monthly club ATC swap and with the other artwork they share! For that I am truly grateful! I'd pay to be part of this group even WITHOUT the monthly stamp!!
So I hope that you'll visit RubberMoon Art Stamps and sign up for the MoonMail Stamp Club! We'd LOVE to have you join us! Do it, it's great fun!

I just love this card! I think it's just adorable how she used the moon as the balloon. Can you see how the stars in the background shimmer?! And I'm a huge Frank Sinatra fan so I love that song!! Heidi also sent the handmade card below! Between the ATC and the handmade card she included all of the MoonMail stamps that we've received to date!
Here's the ATC that I sent to Kristen in Missouri...
The MoonMail Club stamp for the fourth month was the lovely sun stamp! For the swap I received an ATC from Jan in Missouri. Here's what Jan sent...
I love the ombre coloring on the card and the addition of the bubbles over the sun faces and the pearl accents at the end of the rays! And it's another song-themed card like the one I received last month!! I sense a trend here! Jan also sent the adorable hand stamped card below! I love those blues and greens...colors that I really favor right now!
My ATC went to Dottie in Maryland. I had already been assigned Dottie for a previous swap so I was worried she'd be disappointed to get another card from me again but she said liked my card so I'm happy! Here's what I sent...

RubberMoon Moonmail Club ATC Swap #2
I'm back again with another installment for the RubberMoon Moonmail Club ATC swap! This month's club stamp was a beauty! We've had lots of inspiring art created with the image. As I mentioned last month, one of the participants lives in Australia. So guess where my ATC came from this time??!! That's right...all the way from the "Land Down Under"! (You're welcome for the ear worm... :) !)
The artist's name is Jill and here's what she made for me...
I tried to capture the gorgeous shimmer that covers the entire card! I hope you can see it. I think it's just stunning! And the handmade card that accompanied it is gorgeous too! The multicolor centerpiece is fabric, I think it's silk, that's been embellished with pearl paint. I love it! Thank you Jill!

I'm still loving the watercolor pencils that I used on last month's ATC so that's what I used here. The lettering was done by my {shaky!} hand with a Pigma Micron pen. The envelope is the TH Sizzix Movers and Shapers Alterations Pocket Envelope with a scallop circle cut out and stamped with more RubberMoon images. One thing I think is funny is the Jill and I both used the same crystal flower for the necklace!!!

RubberMoon Moonmail Club ATC Swap
I have always been a big fan of RubberMoon Stamps. I have collected quite a few images over the years so I was thrilled to find out that the stamp company had recently been purchased by Kristen Powers (aka KaePea). KaePea has created a brand new website and blog and also started a monthly stamp subscription program called Moonmail Club. Each month we receive an exclusive stamp created by one of the RubberMoon artists. There is also an exclusive Facebook group, private video tutorials and lots of extra goodies!
To celebrate the very first Moonmail stamp and the creation of the club we held an ATC swap. Each person who participated received the mailing address of another participant so you only knew who you were sending an ATC to but didn't know where your's would be coming from! My ATC came from Janet in Oklahoma and I just love it! Since I live in Florida I think snow is magical! And this year I really wished I could go somewhere to see some. Albeit from inside of a nice warm house...but I would have loved it! Here's the ATC I received from Janet...

She even went so far as to stamp the houses along the envelope border and lined it with a white pen to continue the snow theme and she sent it along with the cute handmade owl card! Thanks Janet! I love it all!!
My ATC went to Ceci in Washington state so it literally traveled from one corner of the United States to the other! Ceci was very happy with it so I was glad. Here's what I sent out...
It's my first ATC swap and I was very excited so I had a difficult time squashing all of the stamps I wanted to use into such a small space! You can see that I didn't do very well because my ATC is a book format. That's the only way I could fit everything in!!! I used watercolor pencils and a waterbrush to do the coloring. And I discovered that I LOVE using watercolor pencils!
One swap participant lives in Australia so we still haven't seen all of the swap ATCs yet. I had so much fun and I hope that we can have future swaps! Make sure you visit RubberMoon and take a look at all of the great images they have! They're such fun stamps!!

Frilly and Funkie - Vacation Destination Through a Window
Today I have my project for the Frilly and Funkie challenge hosted by Buttons (Jenny). Jenny wants us to think of our favorite, or ideal, holiday destinations. Do you have a dream of traveling somewhere? Where might that be? The catch is you have to use a window in your project!
Since I couldn't pick just one destination I made a collection of three ATC cards along with a travel-themed ATC box. Two of the ATC cards are dream destinations. Any guess which two it might be??!!
I hope you like my project and that you'll take a little vacation in your mind while you dream up something to enter in our challenge over at Frilly and Funkie! You might win a $25 gift certificate to The Funkie Junkie Boutique! And if you can't get to your favorite vacation destination you'll at least be able to pick up some new crafty supplies with the gift certificate!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
The following items that I used on my project can be found at The Funkie Junkie Boutique! The boutique offers merchandise at up to a 20% discount from the typical retail price! That's a great deal and you should check it out!!
Since I couldn't pick just one destination I made a collection of three ATC cards along with a travel-themed ATC box. Two of the ATC cards are dream destinations. Any guess which two it might be??!!
The ATC box was made using a Sizzix Scoreboards die designed by Eileen Hull. I used Tim's Destinations paper stash on the outside and then decorated it with some travel themed stamps and an Idea-ology word band. For the ATC's I used the new Alterations Movers and Shapers Rectangles to cut an opening in a manila ATC. I completed the window frame with additional strips of manila cardstock. The window frame was mounted on top of the ATC card using foam tape to add some depth.
Destination #1-Paris! Who wouldn't love to go to Paris??!! Well, I guess there might be some people out there who wouldn't but I sure would! For this card I used a text stamp from an older Stampers Anonymous set-French Marketplace-for the background. The Eiffel Tower was stamped separately and colored before fussy cutting it. Then I added it to the text background and stamped the small Fleur de Lis from the Paris to London stamp set. I added the window frame and the small Paris label. Both parts were distressed with various colors of distress ink.
Destination #2-London! If I ever get to Paris I'm certainly not stopping there! I'd also love to visit London! This ATC was made using more images from the Paris to London stamp set. I used the direct-to-rubber technique with distress markers to ink the stamps.
Destination #3-My Own Backyard! Well, almost my own backyard. I can drive less than 5 miles from my house, in any direction, and find a beach. But I never go. I've lived here all my life so it's something that I take for granted. Lately though I've been feeling the need to go sit in the sand and listen to the waves crash onto the shore. And, let's be honest, this is the only one of the three vacation destinations that will likely happen!! I used various stamps from my personal stash on this one and my trusty ink blender and distress inks to create that sunset!
Below are a few more pictures of the ATC box. This is a very cool die! I covered my chipboard with paper prior to cutting the box...it's so much easier that way! I used walnut stain distress ink around the edges and added a compass to the back of the box.
