I turned to the internet for inspiration and when I found this quote from Rabindranath Tagore I knew exactly what I wanted to make...
I covered my chipboard with paper from one of Tim's paper stash pads. Then I used Tim's new Movers and Shapers Arch die and the sized arches to cut two panels. The panels are joined with a small piece of the same paper, doubled for strength, that was glued to each panel between the back and front piece.
The flowers and leaves were from grungepaper, embossed with texture fade folders and painted with distress paints. I spritzed them with water to blend the paint and then gently dried them with my heat tool. I used some Idea-ology custom fasteners in the center of each flower choosing clock images for both. I attempted to make 'dew' on the flowers and leaves but that didn't work out very well! I used Ranger glossy accents to create dewdrops and when I got up the next morning I found that the dew drops had absorbed some color so they don't look very 'dewey'!! I added the butterfly, colored with distress ink and some curled rusty wire with pearls.
Just for extra measure I used clock images on the back side of the arched panels, too!
I hope you like my project and those of my other DT mates! We'd love for you to take some TIME to create your own time-inspired piece and play along with us on this challenge!

ReplyDeleteLovely project! I like the color combinations, and the flowers, everything. I pinned it to my inspiration-cards board on pinterest!
ReplyDeleteI also like how you have displayed visually the "ingredients" you used. I've seen it a bit more, but never really said anything about it. It draws the eye more then text does, as it's a mostly visual presentation.
How beautiful, I love the colours of the flowers
